Payroll Specialist (Full-Cycle Payroll, UKG)

About the Role

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist with hands-on UKG Workforce Management and/or UKG Ready experience to support full-cycle payroll operations for a growing client. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong system skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring all employee hours, pay rules, deductions, and exceptions are handled correctly.
• Audit timecards, research and resolve discrepancies, and ensure correct application of pay rules.
• Maintain employee payroll records and support HR with updates for new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
• Assist with payroll taxes, deductions, and garnishment processing.
• Provide responsive support to employees regarding payroll questions and pay accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll regulations and internal payroll policies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with UKG (Workforce Management and/or UKG Ready).
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a full-cycle capacity.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort supporting employee questions.
• Multi-state payroll experience is a plus.
